Etone College, Nuneaton

Earlier in the year we were presented with the kind of challenge that we enjoy!

We took on this project as main contractor to replace the existing heating systems and hot/cold water services within the college, involving the removal, reconfiguration and replacement of existing ceilings, .pipework, heating emitters, service boxings, floor coverings and final finishings and decoration, all within the college summer break in time for the students to return at the end of the summer. In addition, the cafe area had new roof lights installed, and new destratification ventilation in the hall and cafe areas.

The project required very close and tight co-ordination, and regular liaisons with the college site management.

Site staff were very flexible in their working, making best use of their time and working in areas which were available, when they were available, rather than sticking to a strict work timetable.

All works were completed to meet the programme within the allocated time, allowing the school terms to continue undisrupted and the school staff and students to continue work as normal. The contract value was approx. £1m, mainly being carried out within a 6 weeks period.
