Finham Park is a secondary comprehensive school of over 1,500 students, located in the south-west of Coventry. The school became an ‘Outstanding’ convertor to Academy status in August 2011, attracting students from across the city.

In July, we were requested to offer cost advice on a new teaching block, and the works received funding in September.
The new block will consist of a new dining hall with catering kitchen, and two new, dedicate Music Classrooms, with facilities for individual group practice and recording.

Further Classroom space will form part of the 1500m2 area, with a flexible 160m2 Examination Space at First Floor Level, which can be divided into 3 classrooms by the use of folding wall divisions.

Staff Offices and Workrooms are provided, with a Social Roof Terrace Space provided at first floor level over the dining hall, accessible from an external staircase.

All spaces will utilise LED lighting, and will be heated by LPHW.

The building will be generally ventilated by hybrid mechanical ventilation fan units, providing a mixture of natural and mechanical ventilation, with dedicated mechanical supply and extract ventilation to toilet and kitchen areas.

Staff and teaching spaces will be fitted with data and small power outlets as required, with domestic water services to all sanitary and catering appliances.

In modern school environments, site security is of paramount importance. The site is protected at all gates with video entry and intercoms linked to the main reception desk, with CCTV protecting internal and external areas.

The project is due to be completed in Autumn 2022.
