We were approached to assist with the completion of the new Category B fit-out of an office development in Birmingham, located at Buildings 8 and 10 at Brindley Place, just off Broad Street.
Spacemade provide office accommodation for businesses on a monthly, daily or even hourly basis, based on room by room or even desk by desk, it provides flexible facilities for meetings, hot desking, collaboration and business.
At the heart of the project is the provision of office space across two floors, one floor in each of two buildings. A new café and event space is provided at ground floor level in building 10.
Each floor is air conditioned, utilising air source heat pump technology served from roof mounted plant to ceiling mounted units. Fresh air is circulated by air handling plant with heat recovery, and all lighting is of a modern LED type with automated controls. The spaces have been designed to feel inviting, fresh and welcoming for remotely working office staff who have chosen to use the buildings as a working base.
The building has an intelligent management system which automates the building environment according to demand on a schedule and occupation basis. This allows the maximum conservation of energy to ensure a small carbon footprint whilst maintaining a comfortable and professional environment for the occupants.
The project handed over in Summer 2023.
